What Services Are Provided Within The Smoking Cessation Program?

Individual Counselling

Patients will meet one on one with a trained smoking cessation counsellor for counselling, to assess their smoking, discuss risks and to develop a plan at their own pace. Patients will be linked to community supports and receive up to date literature and resources. As a patient enrolled in our smoking cessation, you will also receive free Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), including  patches, gums, inhalers and lozenges through the STOP program. A nurse or nurse practioner will provide ongoing support in person, by phone or internet to provide advice on any needed adjustments to your quit plan and to discuss successful strategies until your goals are met.
