Want to learn more about how to keep your bones healthy and strong throughout the lifespan?
Join us for this one hour workshop where we will:
- provide an overview of the basics of bone health and how bones are formed
- discuss the factors of bone health and the differences between low bone mass and osteoporosis
- learn what types of exercise and lifestyle modifications are most valuable in helping to improve bone health
- review the daily requirements for calcium and vitamin D and how to obtain these nutrients from food products
This workshop will be facilitated by a licensed occupational therapist and nurse practitioner from the Credit Valley Family Health Team IPCT.
